MacArthur Airport is again a winner in the USAToday 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards in the Best Small Airport Category. In September, an independent panel of travel experts nominated MacArthur Airport, and 19 other airports with fewer than 10 million passengers each year for the Award. Voting took place for 28 days, as airports competed for this nationwide honor. USAToday 10Best revealed the winners today. This is the third consecutive year Long Island MacArthur Airport has been nominated and included in the 10Best list. There was no contest held in 2022.

Breeze Airways Adding New Nonstop Service to Vero Beach from Islip/Long Island

Long Island MacArthur Announces $26M in Terminal Projects and Completion of the Ground Transportation Center

Long Island MacArthur Airport today officially dedicated its $8.4 million, 12,000 SF Ground Transportation Center (GTC) following the completion of a Terminal Walkway, the final component of the project. Additionally, the airport announced $26 million in improvements to the Main Terminal Building, along with Mechanical Engineering and Plumbing (MEP) upgrades. While this construction work is funded by separate grants, the projects will take place simultaneously for efficiency, and to keep operations running smoothly for customers. The project is expected to take approximately one year to complete.
