Short Flight Long Island Campaign Wins Local and National Awards

Kristen Jarnagin, CEO and President of Discover Long presents Town of Islip and Long Island MacArthur Airport with the “Partner of the Year Award” at the organization’s Dec 11 event with News 12 Long Island‘s Elisa DiStefano as MC.

The award recognizes the Spring 2018 BWI to ISP “Short Flight Long Island” campaign – the first collaboration between MacArthur Airport and Discover Long Island to build awareness about Long Island as a destination and Long Island MacArthur Airport as the airport of choice for travel from the Baltimore Washington area. BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) is the also the first out-of-market campaign for the airport.

The campaign also is winner of the “Best Branding and Integrated Marketing Campaign’ from U.S. Travel Association‘s 2018 ESTO Awards. In January 2019, the campaign will receive a Gold Award from Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI)Adrian Awards recognizing best practices in sales and marketing for the hospitality industry.
