After Winter Storm Grayson cancelled flights across the Northeast, we are grateful for the 40 MacArthur Airport staff members who worked in frigid temps with blowing snow to clear runways. Our first General Aviation departure was yesterday at 8:30 am, and our first commercial arrival landed at 10:25 am.
“The staff worked for 48 hours nonstop to clear 14 inches of snow,” explains Airport Director, Shelley LaRose-Arken. “They performed at the highest level using experience and shear dedication to return the airport to to full service.”
