
Airport and Town of Islip officials joined with Hawthorne Global Aviation Services CEO, Bryon Burbage for a ribbon cutting on the first new hangar at MacArthur Airport in 20 years.
Each corporate jet contributes jobs and 1 million in economic impact to our local area.
“Colleagues on the town board really see the value of the airport… We are looking forward to many more wonderful things here at the airport,” said Town of Islip Supervisor Angie Carpenter. “Our airport is such an important resource,” she added thanking the Airport Advisory Board, Airport staff, and Town of Islip leadership.
“Hawthorne and our other valued general aviation tenants help us bring jobs, opportunity, professional pilot training, business charters, and more to Long Island,” said Supervisor Carpenter. “This airport is truly a resource for our region and an economic engine now, and for the future,” she added.
